Good Pen
A conceptualized greeting card company dedicated to raising awareness of endangered animals and environmental conservation efforts.
The Challenge
The project tasked us with developing a fully realized company, complete with a comprehensive vision that included brand strategy, product ideation, and production.
The Solution
I envisioned a stationary company that not only produced captivating greeting cards but also raised awareness about endangered animals. I faced challenges in making the cards stand out and balancing educational content. In the end, I opted for a trifold card design, showcasing the animal's habitat, presenting intriguing facts, and leaving room for personalized messages.
LOGO BRAINSTORM
I researched endangered animals and their challenges. Initially, I contemplated a basic typographic logo, but later saw the opportunity for something more impactful. Drawing inspiration from mail carriers' pouches and envelopes, and motivated by our wildlife conservation mission, I centered on endangered marsupials. This culminated in the final logo, blending a sugar glider with an envelope.
CARD BRAINSTORM
Before settling on tri-fold die-cut cards, I experimented with cards featuring typography and vector art. I decided these designs weren't interesting enough.
PACKAGING
I aimed to create visually striking packaging by integrating artwork from the cards. After meticulous measurement and test printing, I refined the die-cut design for an ideal box that fit both the cards and envelopes.
CARD FINALS
These are the final die-cut tri-fold designs. The panels are subtly adjusted to accommodate the scoring and folds.
FINAL
I was content with the end result. The packaging and greeting cards were not only visually engaging but also structured in a unique manner, setting them apart from traditional greeting card sets. Additionally, the cards contributed to raising awareness about endangered animals. I believe these products successfully realized the brand's vision.
